When Brenda and I moved to a nearly rural subdivision in East Parker County I thought my days of fighting weeds to keep a “landscaped lawn” were over. I thought I could plant a garden and grow all kinds of veggies. I just knew getting out of the suburb meant a whole new idyllic earthy life. Hmmm.
Turns out that those cute little critters I loved seeing in the yard, bunnies, deer, etc. Most of them love to eat garden veggies. And a yard full of weeds… still ugly and difficult to mow in the nearly rural subdivision.
Keeping our lives in Spirit order never becomes easier either. At least I’ve never met anyone who claims to no longer have to pull sin oriented weeds from their life. Submitting to spirit rule has to happen multiple times a day for me. Gardens need fences and someone to tend them. The 40 days till Easter seems a really good time to pull some weeds.
